Embracing the descent, IMLP 2003
Jen has over 15 years of coaching experience with multisport athletes. She received her B.Sc. in Fitness Cardiac Rehab/Exercise Science from Ithaca College in 1993, an M.A. in Exercise Physiology from Adelphi University in 1999 and a M.A.T. in Biology with a teaching certificate from Stony Brook University in 2004. An accomplished athlete, Jen is a nationally ranked US triathlete competing in all distances with 3 Ironman finishes. Additional sports interests include a collegiate rowing career at Ithaca College, mountain biking, trail running and has recently qualified for the Boston marathon. She holds certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Specialist, and is a USCF Certified Cycling Coach.

David Gatz
Dave has been involved in multisport racing since 1986. In 2000, he made his first attempt at Ironman distance racing and truly found his element. Dave finished Ironman Florida 2000 in 9:44 earning him a spot on the start line in Kona for 2001. 2001 was truly a magical year, when Dave crossed the finish line first for the Age Group Win at the Hawaii Ironman World Championship, the only masters’ athlete to break 10 hours.

Every year since then, Dave has qualified and he competed in Kona in 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008 with a podium finishes at IMLP in 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2008. He has been an All American Nationally ranked triathlete for the past eight years, and was ranked #1 by Inside Triathlon in 2001. Dave is one of the most consistent triathletes posting sub 10 hour finishes at Ironman distance. He is a three time Boston Marathon finisher with a marathon PR of 3:02. For the past 6 seasons, Dave has been sponsored by the Bakers Breakfast Cookie Triathlon Team. Dave’s race and training experience truly adds value to consultations with current athletes.

Sinead Fitzgibbon, P.T., M.S.
Sinead Fitzgibbon is a board-certified, NY State licensed Physical Therapist with a busy private practice in Sag Harbor, NY. Her undergraduate physiotherapy studies were completed in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1991, and her Masters in Manual and Manipulative Therapy was completed in London, England in 1994. She is currently working on her DSc. in Orthopedic and Sports Physical Therapy. The past 15 years of clinical practice have been mainly in Orthopedics and out patient Sports Medicine PT, with specializations in the following areas:
▲ Foot and ankle/orthotic evaluation for lower extremity biomechanical dysfunction
▲ Spinal pain management
▲ Uro-gynecological dysfunction
▲ Pelvic pain management
▲ Sports injury management with particular focus on the knee and shoulder
Her sports interests are diverse, competing in on and off-road Biathlon, Triathlon and all cycling disciplines (MTB. Road and Cyclocross) racing at a local, regional and national level as a Cat 2 cyclist with Elite Women’s Team LIPTON and currently with Champion Systems. She sails and races JY 15, Vector and Laser sailboats, and crews for J105 in the summer. Snowboarding, X-country skiing and windsurfing are recent additions to the compendium of non competitive athletic activities.
